Candle Care - Increase your candle burn time!

Here's some quick tips to care for your Drift Artisan Soy Candles. 

About The Candles

All of the Drift Artisan Soy candles are hand poured in small batches to ensure that each and every candle is of the highest quality. They use premium 100% natural soy wax, which is sustainable, renewable and biodegradable.

The natural soy wax is non-toxic and has a beautiful clean burn making it safe for the home or office environment. The fragrance blends have been carefully curated to compliment and enhance a wide range of moods, moments and settings. Our friends at Drift Trading Co has been to create a high quality product that all our customers fall in love with. 

In order to get the best out of your new candle, we recommend you follow the below Candle Care instructions!

Create a Burn Memory

For the first burn, allow melted wax to reach the sides of the vessel. This creates a 'burn memory' which will prevent your candle from tunnelling and creates an even burn ensuring you get the maximum burn time out of your candle. For larger candles it's recommended you allow the melted wax to reach the edges every burn. 

Trim your wick

Ensure you trim your wick/s to a maximum of 5mm before relighting each time. this is super IMPORTANT as it will reduce any black smoke & "mushrooming" of the wick and encourage a longer burn time. 

Safety with your Candle

Ensure you place your candle on an even surface. Never leave a burning candle unattended. Burn for a maximum of 4 hours each time for the large and extra large candles. Carefully the monitor the burn of the extra large ambers once the wax reaches halfway down the vessel (Only burn for 2 hours at a time) to ensure wicks do not drift off centre. Always leave 1cm of Wax remaining at the bottom of the vessel.
