Demi & Bishoy's Wedding Reception with Flowers Gold Coast
We had the pleasure of creating the wedding flowers for Demi and Bishoy's beautiful reception at QT Hotel in Surfers Paradise. Following a Greek Orthodox ceremony, the couple celebrated with family and friends in one of the Gold Coast's most iconic hotel venues, and we were thrilled to be part of it.
The brief was clean, elegant, and timeless. White florals throughout, with a refined simplicity that let the couple, the setting, and the evening itself take centre stage.
Bridal and Bridesmaid Bouquets - White Roses and Gypsophila
Demi's bridal bouquet featured a generous mix of white roses and gypsophila, a classic pairing that reads as both romantic and fresh. The gypsophila added a soft, cloud-like texture around the roses, giving the bouquet movement and lightness without sacrificing the fullness you want in a bridal arrangement.
The bridesmaids carried white rose bouquets to complement, keeping the palette similar across the wedding party. Set against deep chocolate satin gowns, the all-white blooms created a beautiful contrast throughout the day.
Reception Table Flowers - Single Stem White Roses in Clear Vases
For the reception tables, we went with reflexed single white roses in individual clear glass vases, grouped across each table in varying heights. This approach gave the tablescape an airy, unstructured feel while still looking considered and intentional. The white roses against crisp white linen, warm candlelight, and gold chairs created a setting that felt luxurious without being overdone.
Keeping the florals minimal at table level also meant nothing competed with conversation across the table, which is always a thoughtful choice for a reception that's built around celebrating with the people you love most.
Why Wedding Flowers Matter
Flowers do more than decorate a space. The right floral design ties together every element of your wedding day, from the ceremony through to the reception, creating a visual thread that runs through your photos and your memories for years to come.
- Bridal and bridesmaid bouquets are in your hands and your photos all day. Getting the design right matters.
- Table flowers set the tone for your reception. Even a simple approach, done well, transforms a room.
- A consistent colour palette across your florals creates a cohesive look that feels intentional and styled.
- Working with a florist who understands your venue means the flowers work with the space, not against it.
At Flowers Gold Coast, we take the time to understand your vision, your venue, and your day before we put a single stem in water. Every wedding is different, and we love that.
